How much does it cost?
Lessons are scheduled to begin at a set time, when the student should be logged onto Skype/Zoom. The lesson starts by accepting My Private Tutor Online's call. From there we share an audio-visual feed - it's just like being in the same room! Over the course of the lesson we will 'share screens', explore online resources and PowerPoint presentations, tackle worksheets and get creative with custom designed mind mapping software.
At the end of the session My Private Tutor Online can email you your personalised lesson plan, attachments and any homework. Voilà, a built in revision guide!

How do online lessons work?
All you need is a computer, laptop or iPad (even an iPhone will do), an internet connection and a Skype/Zoom account - it's free to create one.
As long as you are online you can learn with My Private Tutor Online anywhere in the world!

What do I need for online lessons?
Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes. Cancellation of a lesson must be received in writing (either via email or text) at least 24 hours before the lesson is scheduled to start.
Failure to provide sufficient notice prevents another student from benefiting from the session. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a 50% charge.

Payment for lessons must be received via bank transfer/PayPal no less than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled session.

Currently, the youngest My Private Tutor Online student is 5 years old. He has a short attention span so we make lessons especially colourful, fast-paced and interactive - he loves them!
Many children today know how to use an iPad before they have even learnt their 'ABCs'. Kids are amazingly tech-savvy; online lessons are simply a natural, useful extension of that.

My child needs tuition, but I think they might be too young for online lessons?
It's important to keep track of how your child is progressing. That's why My Private Tutor Online offers termly reports, just like in school.
Reports include details of test scores and academic achievement, as well as highlighting areas of strength and weakness moving forwards.
